Grand Opening of the Mira Costa
High School Athletic Track
Gary Wayland of the Manhattan Beach Athletic
Foundation (MBAF) recognized the many donors who made the track possible.
He was joined on the podium by Superintendent Jerry Davis and the MBUSD Board of
Trustees, and members of the Manhattan Beach city council.
Superintendent Davis was the first
to cross the finish line on the inaugural lap running to the inspiring music of
the Mira Costa High School Marching Band.
Everyone was invited to join the fun!
Principal Dale Keldrauk and PK parents Gail and Brian Currey were among those to
give it a try.
MBAF's Gary Wayland is joined by Superintendent
Jerry Davis and PTA President Diane Levitt. A big thank you to Gary for
making this beautiful facility a reality.
