June PTA Meeting
The Pennekamp PTA membership gathered at Susan Warshaw's home to celebrate the end of another school year.
Everyone came to thank our co-presidents Cindy Ellenberg and Diane Levitt for their wonderful leadership this year.
Susan Warshaw and Beth Allen are our incoming PTA co-presidents for the 2004-2005 school year.
We are fortunate that Cindy will continue to serve on the PTA executive board as the Parliamentarian.
We were very happy to have a number of Pennekamp's teachers and administrators join us in our celebration!
And a special thank you to all of the parents who volunteer so many hours to make Pennekamp a better school for our children.
Our celebration was bittersweet as there are many families whose last child will be leaving Pennekamp this year. Freddi Segal-Gidan (MBEF Rep for many years), Anne McLaughlin (Parliamentarian, Legislative Rep and former Membership VP and Treasurer) and Linda Reinstein (Dragon's Roar Editor, Cultural Arts Assembly chair) were all recognized for their efforts over the years.
Diane Levitt, who served as PTA president for the past three years, thanked everyone, especially the administration and the PTA executive board for their support. Principal Dale Keldrauk and incoming PTA co-presidents Beth Allen and Susan Warshaw in turn thanked Diane and outlined just some of her many accomplishments on our children's behalf.
As a token of appreciation, members of the PTA presented Diane with her very own dragon to commemorate her many years of service.
