Student Mall

June 11, 2004

Each year, the second graders hold a student mall.  Teams work together to design a product or service. They then divide up tasks and responsibilities and work on advertising.  It all culminates in a glorious Student Mall where first graders are the happy customers!

Here Ms. Moriyama displays the currency unit that will be utilized and discusses proper student mall etiquette with her students.

It is peaceful and quiet before the mall opens...

 and then there are customers everywhere!

You have to be certain to keep supplies replenished and you learn that good advertising plays a key role!

You can find anything you want at our student mall! 

All kinds of food...

a dinosaur and donut shop, 

beautiful jewelry,  

scented items,

and products and services galore!

    
  Games of every shape 

and variety are popular with our students.

We even had live entertainment!  A magic show

and a rock band!
