The Young at Art Show from a Student's Perspective

May 27, 2004

I thought the Young at Art exhibit in the PK cafeteria was great!

The MBMS string ensemble sounded great and their music went perfectly with the artwork.

"Off the Wall with Stella" was one of my favorites this year.  I know all the students had a lot of fun creating their pieces.

This was the "Foil Buddies" project and what was amazing was that everyone started with the same things, but they all looked so different when they were finished!

Our classroom had the "Modern Art" project on display.  We used candles, oil pastels and paint to make really cool pictures!

I thought "Hokusai's Great Wave" was difficult, but these students did a great job!  We learned a lot about Hokusai and found out that drawing waves is not very easy.
